Hide and Seek

I’m actually very hard to find,
I have looked but hidden is this mind.
Seek me very far, or seek me in the stars,
Look much closer to home, or peer into my bones.
But wherever I am sought, that is where I am not,
and whoever it is that seeks, that is who I’ll be.
Thus have I heard said, as it is for us undead,
We that shed light, with eyes that take flight.
Very unlike the silent ocean behind,
Now – it is her turn to hide.
